Transferring Domains to Brighter Vision

Thank you for choosing to move your domain name over to Brighter Vision!

Before our team can help, you will first need to prepare your domain for transfer at the registrar where you currently manage the domain – see these steps in the next section.

Then, our team will need to complete a few steps on our end to request the transfer of your domain from your current registrar to our hosting.

Depending on your current domain registrar, domain transfers can take up to fourteen (14) days to complete, with seven (7) days being the typical standard.

How Do I Prepare My Domain for Transfer to Brighter Vision?

Before our team can initiate the transfer, you must first make sure you have prepared your domain for transfer. With a few exceptions, these are the steps you will need to complete from your current registrar account:

1. Unlock your domain
2. Change your domain’s privacy settings to public
3. Request a transfer authorization code (EPP code)

Note: Although optional, you may also want to confirm that your domain name is not expiring in the next 14 days to avoid complications in case your transfer takes longer than expected.
