How to Set Up Google Analytics

This page will guide you through how to set up Google Analytics on your website. Please watch the video we created or you can follow the steps we included below.

To get started, please go to this link: Google Analytics

1) Click " Get Started Today" at the top right, then click "Start Measuring" on the next page.

2) Enter a name for your Google Analytics  Account (business name), and hit "Next".

3) Now, we are going to create a Google Analytics  Property, which is like an individual profile within your Account that tracks data for your website.

4) Enter a name for your Property ( your business name would work here, too!), and select "Next".

5) Here, you will be prompted to fill out some basic information about your business. Fill out boxes accordingly and hit " Create".

6) Review & accept the Terms of Service agreement.  The following page, "Email Subscriptions", is optional.

7) Now that your account & property are set up, we will proceed to creating a Data Stream to begin tracking data on your website!

8) Under " Choose a Platform", select "Web".

9) Enter your full website URL (make sure https:// is selected), create a name for your Data Stream, select the checkbox entitled "Enhanced Measurement", and click "Create stream".

10) Now that your data stream has been set up, you'll be redirected to a new window to install the tag on your website. Go to the " Install Manually" tab.
