How to Set Up Brighter Insights

In this article, we will show you how to connect Google Analytics, Google Search Console, and Google Business Profile to your new Brighter Insights analytics dashboard!

Rest assured, though this article is long, connecting each service involves roughly the same, relatively-simple process from service to service! This article is only long because it contains a walkthrough for each individual process, as some things may look slightly different.

  • Notice there are some blue Connect buttons that you'll need to use to connect each of your three Google services. 
  • After connecting each service to your Brighter Insights analytics dashboard, you'll be able to log in to any time to see all of your website metrics in one place!
    • If you are on our Thrive or Prosper plan, setting up your analytics dashboard gives us everything we need to start sending your curated analytics & SEO reports each month! 

Step 1: Connecting Google Analytics to Brighter Insights

1) Click the blue Connect button located on any one of the Google Analytics sections in your Brighter Insights analytics dashboard.

2) Next, a new window will pop up -- please click the blue Connect New Account button:

3) You’ll then be brought to a new screen where you’ll have to click the grey + Connect New Account button (again):

4) Lastly, you will see a pop up asking you to to log in to your Google account. If everything is set up correctly you should start to see data appear in this section within 48 hours of setting up your Google Analytics account!

  • If something goes wrong when you try to connect your Google Analytics account, just make sure that you're using the same Google account you used to set up Google Analytics! This is one the most common issues people run into. 


Step 2: Connecting Google Search Console to Brighter Insights

1) Click the blue Connect button located on any one of the Google Search Console sections in your Brighter Insights analytics dashboard.

2) Next, a new window will pop up -- please click the blue Connect New Account button:

3) You’ll then be brought to a new screen where you’ll have to click the grey + Connect New Account button (again):

4) Lastly, you will see a pop up asking you to to log in to your Google account. If everything is set up correctly you should start to see data appear in this section within 48 hours of setting up your Google Analytics account!

  • If something goes wrong when you try to connect your Google Search Console account, just make sure that you're using the same Google account you used to set up Google Analytics! This is one the most common issues people run into. 


Step 3: Connecting Google Business Profile to Brighter Insights

Note that Google Business Profile is an optional service available to businesses that have a physical office location for in-person / hybrid services. 

In most cases, telehealth-only businesses without a physical office are not eligible to set up a Google Business Profile.

If you are curious to see if your business would be eligible, feel free to check out Google's article on Business Eligibility and Ownership Guidelines.

Because of this restriction -- although you are welcome to connect a Google Business Profile to your Brighter Insights analytics dashboard -- note that at this time, Google Business Profile data is not included in the monthly analytics/SEO reports that Thrive & Prosper clients receive.

1) Click the blue Connect button located on any one of the Google Business Profile sections in your Brighter Insights analytics dashboard.

2) After you click the Connect button a new window will pop up and you’ll want to click Connect New Account:

3) You’ll then be brought to a new screen where you’ll have to click Connect New Account (again):

4) After that, it will prompt you to log in to your Google account. 

If something goes wrong when you try to connect your Google Business Profile account make sure that you're using the same Google account you used to set up Google Business Profile, this is one the most common issues people run into. If you're still having trouble please reach out to the support team support@brightervision.com.

If everything is set up correctly you should start to see data appear in this section after you've verified your physical address with Google.


Congratulations, your Brighter Insights Dashboard Is All Set Up Now!

If you've followed all of the steps above, you should start to see data in every section of your analytics dashboard within 24-48 hours ( excluding Google Business Profile, if your business is not eligible to have one). 

If that is the case, then that means you set everything up properly! From this point forward, you can log in to your Brighter Insights analytics dashboard at any time to see how your website is performing. 

  • Note**: If you are on the Thrive or Prosper plan, please reach out to us at vipsuccess@brightervision.com letting us know your Brighter Insights analytics dashboard is fully set up, as this means we can schedule your curated monthly analytics & SEO reports!
