Setting Up Auto-Responders

Auto-responders allow you to set up automated replies to incoming email for your Hushmail account. This feature can be useful for confirming the receipt of an email, or for informing senders that you are unavailable for a certain amount of time, such as while on vacation or out of the office for any other reason.


Creating An Automatic Response

1. Sign in to your Hushmail account.

2. Go to the Preferences page by clicking the menu in the upper right corner, as shown here:

3. From the Automatic response tab, on the Automatic response line click the pencil icon, as shown below, to change this to Enabled.

4. Enter the Subject for your automatic response and then click the blue Save button. Do the same for the Text portion of your automatic response email.


Disabling An Automatic Response

To disable your automatic response, set the Automatic Response option to Disabled, then click Save. You can leave the subject and text to reuse next time you are away.
